Basics – bread, milk, papers can be found at Yarnbrook Filling Station. Left at Church – 1/2 mile. Farm Shop – fresh eggs, cakes, jam, logs etc – right at church, immediately right again. Or a 5 minute walk. Tell them you’re staying with us..! Tesco express, right at Church about 2 miles on right. Spar store – left out of house, left again at main road, 1 mile on right.
Supermarkets – Co-Op – Right at Church-1mile on left. Coopers in Westbury, more comprehensive range, also has Post Office. Tesco,Trowbridge – left at church, right at roundabout, left at lights, over mini-roundabout, left at roundabout – 3 miles
Trowbridge – Supermarkets and some chain shops. Much closer than Bath for basic needs.
Bath – plenty of shops here, and great food and drinks! Quickest by train, and escape the parking headache.
Clarks Shopping Village – Retail therapy on a grand scale! More than 40 different stores. Street, near Glastonbury. Climb the Torr and then go shopping! www.clarksvillage.co.uk/
McArthur Glen retail outlet – Swindon, just off the motorway. www.mcarthurglen.com/
Royal custom jerseys Oak in Hawkeridge – great food. 10 minute walk across the field. Our local pub.
Hungry Horse in Yarnbrook – speaks for itself really, but cheap steaks etc and very large portions.
Westbury Square – a variety here, but can be a bit on the wild side at weekends! Westbury Hotel is more civilised.
Trowbridge – loads of pubs here but can also be a bit wild!
Bradford-on-Avon – The George Inn, The Castle and The Dandy Lion are quieter venues with good food. The Bunch of Grapes is a highly regarded gourmet pub with a French chef.

Westbury is the closest town to the cottage and there are a few good places, Thai Chinese etc.<br ray bans sale />
Trowbridge has more to offer but can be a bit wild at weekends in the centre!
Bradford-on-Avon has many super restaurants and is a lovely place to visit. Essential to book well 8/27 in advance especially for large groups.
Bath is your nearest city and hosts a vast range of eateries and is also a lovely city to visit. Parking can be difficult.
